How fast or slow do you read?I used to DEVOUR books in 2 days flat! Sometimes I still do, but not so often anymore. There are a few reasons. In part, it was a conscious decision - I realised binge-reading (and binge-watching, etc) wasn't great for my mental health so I'm trying not to do it. Plus, I just think it's nice to take my time and really enjoy a book! Whereas if I speed through it and immediately start a new book, I won't take it in as well and will probably forget a lot of what happened in it.But also, I stopped reading as much when I started uni - I either didn't have the time or the money, or I felt guilty about reading for fun when I thought I should be studying. So I just got out if the habit of reading as much.
And now I've finished uni and am a Real Adult (apparently???), I have work and chores and stuff to do. Besides, I have other hobbies too! If I feel like knitting or crocheting or painting or gaming or writing (or even occasionally socialising??? Yes, it does happen sometimes haha) then I'm not gonna force myself to read just bc of.At the moment, I'm reading about 3 books a month. Compared to some other bookstagrammers, that's pretty low! But some of us can't or don't want to read 20 books a month, and that's OK!!!So yeah!
